Hello, fellow survivors of Avani,

today we want to show you our progress towards the next Update in our very first devlog! The next Update will be 0.1.1 and we are working hard to deliver it as soon as possible! We are planning to release the next update till  8/4/2020. So what will await you in our next Update?

Please note that everything seen here is still WIP(Work in progress) and is subject to change!

New building models

We are adding new building models to extend the possibilities of what can be built . We are adding a door, a railing and a ladder! Also existing models will get a few changes. This also marks the first animated/interactable building part: a door! 

Open sesame!

A railing will be added to allow you more freedom when building. This is especially useful for outside areas of your house!

A ladder that is being added as an alternative to the existing wooden stairs.

Many models including this floor got a visual revamp to fit better with the new models and of course: look more awesome!

Improved Settings Menu

We improved the settings menu to allow some first simple adjustments to the graphics quality ingame. This is especially interesting for people with Low-Tier Hardware, as this allows you go gain quite a lot of FPS(Frame per Second) by decreasing or disabling the new options! Here is a gif  of the improved settings menu, which also showing how the framerate is impacted:

As you can see the the improvement is quite significant! Going up from about ~70 to ~95 FPS and this is just in a development build, expect the gains to be even bigger on your PC!

New Update Notification

We are also working on a new system, which will notify you at the startup of the game, if a new update is available for download, so you don't miss out on new features!

Software & Engine Updates

We finally moved from the old Unity 2018.4 LTS version to the much newer 2019.4 LTS. This allows us to develop much more efficiently and also expect some performance gains in the next Update! Software that we are using for Avani has been updated as well, which should also positively impact the performance of the game!
